Geneen Roth “What Are You Hungry For? Hint: It’s Not Food”

by anita

In an interview with the author Geneen Roth about her new book “Women Food and God,” Oprah said, “This is an opportunity to finally end the war with weight and unlock the door to freedom.” Those of us that have been following Oprah for the past twenty years know that she has struggled with her weight and has experienced both ends of the “scale”…great weight loss and great weight gain. As women, I know very few that don’t think they need to “lose” weight, even if they are a size 6. Geneen says “The choices we make about what we put in our mouths are only stand-ins for the beliefs we carry in our minds and our hearts! WOW! We’re back to beliefs again!

I haven’t read the book, however I am going to order today! It fits in perfectly with mindset and beliefs we have around all aspects of our lives. Take the time to read the interview at http://www.oprah.com/health/An-Excerpt-from-Geneen-Roths-Women-Food-And-God In the meantime, you may want to order the book under my “Recommended Readings” Section on the right hand side of the blog.

Your beliefs are affecting your choices of how you are living your one and only “precious” life. Take the time to really look at what is holding you back from being your most POWERFUL self. Are you stepping into your power and becoming all that you can be?

I agree that your beliefs are one of the key ingredients to being successful.

Food, the ultimate drug. Yet we cannot live without it. What a complicated modern world we live in Anita. Geneen’s book sounds great!

People desire so many things…if they only realized that once they get their values and beliefs lined up with what they want it is a match made in heaven.

Looks like a very interesting book and one that could be a huge help to anyone who uses food to satiate a deeper longing…..and who doesn’t have deep longings? The key is having the courage to dig deep and discover what they are so you can stop “feeding” that desire with something that will never satisfy.

How we eat is how we live!

Love this, it makes so much sense.
This opens my awareness to look at my food and eating habits with greater consciousness
