Michael Jackson and ATTRACTION

Many of us have all been listening and watching the “passing” of an Icon and Legend, Michael Jackson.  As I was watching, I had this moment when the thought came…”the day that music died”.  Remember that from American Pie?  But then I thought, the truth may be more the day that music LIVES.  I remember watching Thriller, Bad and We Are the World, awed by the talent of this one young man and then blown away when he did something called the “Moonwalk”.  He was an artist/entertainer that was way ahead of his time.  He was also a man that believed in a dream.  From a very young age, he set his intention to be the greatest entertainer in the world and he never gave up on his vision.  Did he have challenges?  Yes.  Did he have obstacles? Yes.  Did he possibly have moments or days of doubts?  Possibly.  BUT did he give up on his vision, his dream.  NO!  Not only did he not give up, he believed so strongly in his talent and his creativity…he just kept on creating new ideas, pushing the limits of his creativity and beyond.  Always seeking a new sound or a new move.  I heard the other day that while he was a member of the Jackson 5 he told several of his friends and collegues that he wanted to break out on his own and become the biggest entertainer of all time. He had a dream.  What if he had never decided to allow that dream to grow?  What if he had remained with the Jackson 5?  I suspect he had a deep knowing of his “gifts” and that he needed (KNEW) deep within his being that something beyond himself was calling him.  What is calling you?  What have you given up on?  What passion do you have within you that would like to grow and be expressed?  Now is the time.  This IS the time. Take that step, whatever it might be, listen to that deep place withing YOU that KNOWS what to do next!
